There are several options for grow media as well. You'll need to decide if you want to grow in soil, a soil alternative like coco, or maybe you're thinking about growing hydroponically. In the end it's going to be up to you. Growers find success with many different media types.

    Cannabis Nutrients

    cannabis nutrients

You'll have to provide macro and micro nutrients to your cannabis. Coco Coir: what is it? how it can benefit your cannabis?

Do you want to be part of a private, professional community?
Join Now

In this article, we talk about the advantages of using a coco media for in your cannabis grow.

There are a lot of choices when it comes to growing your growing media and it's not always easy to know which to use.

Growers need to take many variables into account when deciding what media will work best for them. There are questions of pH, feeding schedules, drainability, potential nutrient lockout, the list goes on.

So what should you do? In the end the answer is to use the product that works best for you. But again, what one is it? The only way to answer this is to learn a bit about what's available, so to that end, let's talk about coco coir.

What is Coco Coir?

Coco Coir in a plant byproduct, specifically coconut fiber. The manufacture of coco coir involves removing the coir grains from the husk and processsing them into a uniform grow media, creating an elegant, organic grow substrate.

coco coir

Coco Coir is made from waste coconut material by removing and processing the fibers inside the shell.

Advantages of Coco Coir

While every grow substrate will have its pros and cons, coco has some specific features that make it very popular with cannabis growers.

  • High water holding capacity, ideal for humid environments.
  • Coco coir is in the pH neutral range.
  • The root system thrives in coco due to coco's drainability and aeration.
  • Natural pest control - coco is a natural anti-fungal and can even repel some pest types.
  • Environmentally Friendly - Made from coconut waste.
  • Reusable - don't forget to flush it before you reuse!
  • Greater yields - maybe the most important factor to growers, coco coir boasts larger harvests due to the ability for the roots to easily find food in a coco media.

What about peat moss?

Peat moss has been used as a substrate for a long time and many growers swear by it. While it has some of the same great properties of coco coir, peat moss isn't considered environmentally sustainable. Peat moss is a natural forming substrate that can take 15-25 years to form. Removing it from the environment can have a negative impact on the local ecosystem. Some scientists consider "peat bog" ecosystems to be as fragile as the rainforests.

coco coir

Peat is harvested from bogs such as this which cover about 3% of the earth's surface.

Interested in coco coir?

If you're interested in coco coir there are numerous products on the market. One of the best we've heard about is Tupur from Royal Gold. We featured the product in our Honeydew Farms episode of Canna Cribs because the grower used it and loved it.
coco coir
Tupur was developed to give growers a blank slate to build their own feeding regimen. Additionally, Tupur can be watered up to six times a day, making it an ideal choice for automated systems, particularly drain to waste as well as ebb and flow, but Tupur works beautifully in hand-watered gardens too.

Royal Gold Tupur=More bang for your buck

If price is an issue when it comes to media, Tupur is available in a 2 cubic-foot bag that's priced to compete with the industry standard 1.5 cubic-foot bag. Not only can you increase yields and have greater control over your grow, but you'll be able to save money doing it.

Higher yields, happier plants, good for the environment, and costs less? Seems like something worth trying.

So there you have it, our explanation of what coco is and how it can help your grow thrive. Have you used coco before? What kind of media do you prefer? We want to know! Click one of the join buttons on this page and tell us about it in the Growers Network forum!

Vape FAQ

  1. What is vaping?
  2. Vaping in the inhalation of vapor from concentrated oils or plant material. Vaping oils can help a user avoid some of the harmful chemicals found in tobacco and cannabis combustion.

  3. How to vape Cannabis?
  4. There are a variety of methods from those mentioned above, to larger vape units. Depending on the product, vaporizers can be used for oils, flower, and even wax.

  5. What's the THC percentage in a vape concentrate?
  6. This depends on the oil or other concentrate you purchase, but you can expect concentrates to contain from 40-80% THC, much higher than even top shelf flower.

  7. Is vaping cannabis safe?
  8. The jury is still out on this. We do know that vaping concentrates DOES allow the user to enjoy cannabis without the harmful chemicals associated with combustion reactions.

However, there is still more research to be done on the long term effects of vaping. In early 2020 the news cycle was full of stories about an influx of lung conditions and deaths associated with vaping. The vape concentrates in question were found to be black market concentrates from China containing Vitamin E acetate - this fact got less attention than the actual "vape scare." Concentrates sold legally will be tested for quality and should not contain any known harmful substances.

4 of the Best Cannabis Vape Pens for 2020

Do you want to be part of a private, professional community?
Join Now

In this article, we talk about some cannabis vape accessories you may want to try in 2020. We've got recommendations whether you like flower, oils, or other types of concentrates.

I love vaping. It's honestly my favorite way to consume cannabis. I still love flower, but the dependability and discreteness of a good vape pen makes it my go-to in most situations.

As cannabis use continues to rise across the world, more people are turning on to vaping as a discrete, potent alternative to traditional flower. Additionally, unlike weed, a vaporizer is ready at a moment's notice with no breaking up buds, packing bowls, or rolling joints. Another advantage is there are TONS of different cannabis or CBD oils you can use with your vaporizer that have no noticeable odor which makes them great for use in public or anywhere you'd like to use cannabis discretely.

So maybe you're interested in trying to vape for the first time or maybe you're just looking for some new gear. Either way, we've got you covered with a few suggestions based on customer satisfaction, performance, and style.

Editorial Note: All recommendations are based on user reviews. Growers Network is not paid to promote or recommend any specific product or brand.

An Interview with Jack Grover of Grove Bags

Do you want to be part of a private, professional community?
Join Now

In this interview, Growers Network had the opportunity to speak with Jack Grover of Grove Bags about his company's cannabis bags and the technology that makes them work so well.

Thanks for taking the time to speak with us today. Can you tell us a little about your background and how you got involved in the cannabis space?

So growing up in Ohio and being a wrestler, I always drank the anti-cannabis Kool-Aid. My view on cannabis really didn't change until I was about 18 and I was home from college at the same time my brother was home from California. My older brother Charlie has pretty severe cerebral palsy that has kind of progressed over the course of his life and he's always been given a multitude of medications for the symptoms and for the symptoms of those medications. So when he was home from law school, he asked me, “Jack, can one of your friends get some cannabis and come over to roll up a joint for me?” I could tell he was in a lot of pain, his face was vascular and his shoulders were hunched over because his body was spasming so hard. So I said, “sure” and called JJ, who's now the COO of Grove Bags, and I said “JJ can you come over to roll a joint for Charlie?” and he did so. As Charlie took a few puffs I saw the relief that overcame him and things all of a sudden clicked in my head. Truthfully, I was angry at first, here’s something where just two puffs of a joint gave him so much relief where he has been in agony for as long as I can remember, taking countless pills for the agony and even more pills to counter the symptoms of the other pills where cannabis could be such an effective remedy. I grew up in the room next door to him where we shared a bathroom and I remember having a little basket for all of my shower stuff because all of his pill bottles took up the whole counter and both cabinets in our bathroom. That background of observing the medicinal benefits of the plant is what got me into cannabis.

Then fast forward a couple of years I am in college and saw everything that was going on with the cannabis industry and it got me more and more interested in wanting to join it. Not just join it though but have my hand in standardizing it, improving it, and creating great quality standards in the space that’s not just selling generic packaging but creating tailored, engineered packaging for cannabis that is unique to plant's physiology. I wanted to do something different, I didn't want to be a broker-dealer providing products that had no real advantage, that were repurposed to reuse the crap from other industries that alone those products weren’t even safe for it, both for consumption or store products that were going to be consumed. That's why I wanted to get involved and what led us to Grove Bags.

Grove Bags Founder & CEO Jack Grover sharing his industry thought leader wisdom with the Boston community at Babson College’s annual Cannabis Symposium.

That's an amazing story! Can you tell us what makes your bags different from others on the market?

Great question. So our bags aren't simply bags, they're microclimates. What I mean by that is they are actually active environments that maintain very specific atmospheric conditions for the optimum curing and storage of cannabis. What our bags do is leverage our TerpLoc™ technology to maintain less than 1% weight variance and an anti-static anti-microbial environment this is inhospitable and discourages both mold and bacteria growth. But most importantly, our microclimate maintains 40% to 45% more cannabinoids and terpenes in a natural way by using the natural moisture of the plant. And we do that without the use of humidity packets, nitrogen flushing, or any of these harmful food strategies or other repurposed products that aren't designed for cannabis.

Can you tell us more about your patented TerpLoc™ technology?

Absolutely. TerpLoc™ is a multi-layered film designed around the six essential conditions for successful cannabis storage and curing. The durability of the vessel, the ability to maintain odor for discretion and compliance, the ability to maintain ideal oxygen levels of about 2% oxygen to work with the plant's natural respiration process to maintain the anti-static environment in order to prevent the trichomes from falling off the buds or into the plastic, which is another key reason why we are an FDA approved material. But lastly, we maintain a 52% relative humidity level using our proprietary blended layers of film. Most of all, we also maintain an environment that's ultra-violent protected because ultraviolet light degrades cannabis more quickly and more totally than anything else. So those are really the core components of TerpLoc™ and how we achieve them. For example, if you look at salad bags in the grocery store and see a bag of salad, the lettuce inside would wilt on your counter in a few hours but it stays fresh in that bag for weeks. It's not because that bag has been flushed or purged of oxygen (it has been) its because that bag is made of special blended structures designed to respirate and breathe as if they were operating as the natural lungs of those plants keeping them fresh and preserving both their vitamins and nutrients. This is the same idea of what we do for cannabis, a tailor engineered product for the unique physiology of what we're trying to package.

“Grove Bags has really set a new standard for how cannabis packaging should be done."
-Josh Kule: Willow Industries Director of Sales

Can you explain what “Cannabis Synergy” is and how your bags help preserve it?

Absolutely. Cannabis synergy, known as the entourage effect is the concept that the medicinal impact of the whole plant is greater than the sum of its parts. That's what we mean by full-spectrum cannabis, with terpenes playing a major role in cannabis synergy and are the main factors that influence different profiles like Indica versus Sativa. They have antimicrobial properties that influence the permeability in the cell membrane, allowing for the more efficient absorption of more cannabinoids. Essentially what that means for your plant is that having packaging that maintains and protects all your terpenes and cannabinoids results in maintaining a higher level of medicine because those full terpene profiles and the full entourage of chemicals in the plant those fatty lipids and those terpenes being protected by the TerpLoc™ microclimate allows us to protect that cannabis synergy and even enhance it. Grove Bags are custom-designed around cannabis low oxygen levels, water vapor transmission, and UV protected antistatic properties, making our solution-driven packaging the perfect cannabis climate, ideal for the entire cannabis supply chain from cultivation to consumption.

Grove Bags did a lot of product testing before bringing your bags to market, can you tell us about the results of these tests?

Absolutely. We've run tests with numerous labs as well as major cannabis corporations like Native Roots. The purpose of these tests essentially is to one further everyone's understanding of the nature of cannabis, how it respires, how it degrades and what that degradation means from a medicinal standpoint, but also the tests validate our technology and they invalidate other methods that all be it might be popular are either unsafe and actually degrade the medicinal quality of cannabis. We are at the forefront of a modern agricultural revolution spearheaded by cannabis. Cannabis, not only needs but absolutely requires standardization and that’s what we're doing; Grove Bags is standardizing packaging in order to maintain the medicinal quality of product throughout the supply chain.

What are the benefits your customers receive using your bags?

The main benefits they will see from TerpLoc™ range from protecting their bottom line to enhancing and protecting their product quality. This enhances their brand and allows them to make a more potent impression over time. From a revenue standpoint, all it means is that their top-line revenue is increased since they are actually selling every gram as a full gram because they have a less than 1% weight variance. What it also means, they're cutting down their molding, which directly relates to more top-line revenue. Lastly, in terms of their brand and overall product quality, they're cementing their relationship with their customers with a beautifully curated package that is environmentally friendly and efficient, yet also elegantly protects and enhances their product, so their brand makes a potent impression with their customer every time and it binds the loyalty and trust of that relationship.

We are exhibiting again at MJBizCon Vegas this year with our biggest booth YET! Come visit Booth #C7041 to say hello to The Grove Bags Team and grab some packaging samples to test against what you’re currently using!

Are your bags sustainable/good for the environment?

Yes. Our bags are actually fantastic for the environment. First off, we are a USA-Made Green Packaging Coalition certified facility that meets the highest food, drug and retail standards around the world. Secondly, all of the solvents that we use in our printing process, we don't dump in the environment, but we cleanly burn those off by using them to heat our entire facility.

And in addition, because there's no breakage with flexible packaging and because it is extremely efficient to produce it has by far the lowest carbon footprint of any type of packaging.

Also using tailor engineered materials and cutting edge technology, we get more from less material, further lowering our carbon footprint and maximizing the sustainable impression our customers can make on their patients.

It’s no secret that cannabis packaging produces a lot of waste. Do you anticipate a push toward sustainable packaging as more and more markets become accepting of cannabis?

Absolutely. I think it's only natural as we mature and progress as an industry that not only operational efficiencies but environmental efficiencies will come to pass. I think it's important that our retailers in canna-businesses are the ones to usher in reform instead of allowing reform to usher in change.

“We've got you covered from Cultivation to Consumption.”

Is Grove Bags working on any new products/expansion plans that you can tell us about?

Absolutely, we've got a few things in the works we can't talk about, but what I can tell you is that there's a big rebrand coming soon to reflect our increased scale of capabilities and scope. Also we have a pretty dynamic new website coming out in the near future that'll allow our customers to maintain accounts, track and forecast their product use, and really cut down on any supply gaps that might arise. We're also now doing pre-roll cones, both unbranded and customized for our clients' brands. We have the best pricing on cones and we can also customize cones because why should you be an ambassador for somebody else's brand? Our cones are totally customizable from customized logo tips to paper type to the cone size itself, empowering our clients' to have effective residual branding at the endpoint of user consumption. Furthermore, we also just launched our new super sacs for hemp and biomass that have been selling like crazy which essentially line your typical fabric super sacks that you seen made out of woven fabric, allowing you to have all the advantages of TerpLoc™ with your large biomass so you can effectively maintain a really medicinally potent product to be extracted.

What advice would you have for someone who wanted to work in an ancillary cannabis business?

It's a great question. There's a lot of people that want to work in ancillary cannabis. It's very hot right now. It's a very sexy thing that everybody wants to do, but you still have to add value, find the problems and create solutions for those problems. Don't create a solution and try to find a problem to plug it into, but truly add value. Do something to unite and move forward the space. This is still a collaborative, not a competitive time where we need to work together.

In this interview, Growers Network talks to Austin Flohrschutz, Director of Science for TruPotency, a CBD retailer taking science and quality seriously.

Austin Flohrschutz will be hosting an "ask me anything" session in the Growers Network forum on November 18th at 11AM Pacific to take you questions about CBD. Can't make it on the 18th? Click here to ask your question now and Austin will answer you during the AMA!

Thank you, Austin, for taking the time to speak with Growers Network! Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got involved in the CBD industry?

I received my BS in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Kansas. While there I worked in a medicinal chemistry lab focused on natural product synthesis. We extract the biologically active compounds from the salvia divinorum plant and use them to synthesize new compounds designed to treat pain without addictive properties. I then entered a PhD program in Neuroscience at the University of Arizona where I worked in a pharmacology lab focused on pain, opioids, addiction and cannabinoids. After a couple years of grad school I decided to change my path and leave the PhD program to received an MS in Neuroscience. This change included joining TruPotency as their director of science. I have always been interested in plant medicine and cannabis, so the transition to the CBD realm has been a smooth one.

There's a lot of confusion about the legality of CBD products. Can you clarify?

The 2018 Farm Bill states that cannabis products (from flower to tinctures) that have less than 0.3% THC, classified as hemp, are federally legal. However, certain states still classify hemp under their marijauna guidelines, which puts the residents of those states in a confusing situation. Although hemp and hemp based products are federally legal, states can and will have criminal charges for hemp and hemp based products.

CBD is obtained from the hemp plant, which by definition, can contain only 0.3% THC.

What's the most common misconception people have about CBD?

There are a few general misconceptions that people who are unfamiliar with have, so here are some basic facts for those who are new to CBD.

  1. Fact - CBD will not get you high.
  2. Fact - CBD is non-addictive.
  3. Fact - CBD is relatively safe.

Clinical trial participants have used over 800mg a day for months with little to no side-effects.

CBD is extremely popular right now. What are some other cannabinoids that are gaining traction in the industry?

There are over 100 cannabinoids, so as time moves on we will undoubtedly find benefits for others as well. Some others that are gaining popularity are CBDA, CBDV, THCV, and more. Depending on the testing lab, our current testing includes 11 to 15 different cannabinoids.

Cannabinol (CBN) is gaining popularity as a sleep aid and showing up in cannabinoid products claiming usefulness for sleep. TruPotency carries a brand called Plant People that has a sleep tincture designed with CBN.

Cannabigerol (CBG) is another cannabinoid that is becoming favored as well. Pre-clinical data suggests that this cannabinoid may be useful for pain and inflammation as well as acting as a muscle relaxant.

Cannabichromene (CBC) is also on the rise. This is another cannabinoids that may be beneficial for pain and inflammation.

These are just a few of the the over 100 known cannabinoids.

How is TruPotency different than other online CBD retailers?

TruPotency sets ourselves apart in a few different ways. First, we are based on science. With a science advisory board consisting of MDs, PhDs, and wellness professionals, we use the latest data from clinical trials and scientific studies to vet the products we sell. We have pre-screened over 700 products, and selected 300 to be independently blind-tested tested and less than 20% of those pass the TruDiligence Testing and are available on TruPotency.com.

The TruPotency Science Team has developed a database of relevant cannabinoids, terpenes and other key ingredients and assigned a score for each product based on their contents based on clinical trials and published scientific research. The TruPotency algorithm uses these scores to determine which products are right for you. We are unique in this aspect using data to drive product scoring.

What was the most concerning thing you've discovered through you rigorous product testing?

First, there is a lot of bad products out there. Our data closely matches a University of Pennsylvania study that showed about 70 percent of CBD products are mislabeled. Customers want to know what they are buying is what is says it is. Not only properly labeled CBD, but some people cannot have THC due to work constraints, and some products claiming THC free showed THC in them.

The other issue is the variability between labs. You would hope that sending multiple of the same sample to big name labs would yield the same result, within reason, but that is not the case. Different lab can give wildly different results and products can be tested multiple times at multiple different labs. One concern I have is that companies are doing this until they get a result that fits the label claim, but the product is actually different, but the company has “proof” that the product is legitimate.

As an industry, we really need better rules and regulations for manufacturing and testing.

Any predictions for the future of the CBD market?

There have been and explosion of new CBD brands (over 1000 in 2019) with relatively little regulation. Our testing has shown how many poorly made products there are and brands that are around to make a quick buck on the CBD hype.

The FDA will be making decisions in the near (hopefully) future on the fate of CBD rules and regulations. I would hope that all hemp based products are fully legalized and regulated so we do not have to worry about the quality of a CBD product. When, and if, this happens, all the CBD brands that were riding on the CBD buzz will hopefully be out of business.

Soon, there might also be “craft” type products that mix CBD with other cannabinoids and terpenes at specific ratios to target certain effectiveness. Like mixing CBD, THC, and CBN, with linalool and myrcene as a sleep combination.

Growers Network would like to thank Austin and TruPotency for taking the time to answer our CBD questions. Do you have a question that you'd like to ask Austin? Click here to post a question you'd like Austin to answer during his Ask Me Anything session on our forum. It's happening on November 18th at 11AM Pacific, but even if you can't make it on the 18th, your pre-asked question will be answered! Hope to see you there!

CBD FAQ from Growers Network

Will CBD Oil make me high?
No. CBD is not a psychoactive compound whereas THC is. CBD is derived from hemp, which contains 0.3% THC maximum, a level too low to create any intoxicating effects.

Will CBD make me fail a drug test?
No. Drug screens for THC target a specific THC derivative, which will not be detectable with the minuscule amount of THC in hemp plants.

Is CBD Safe?
Yes. CBD has been scientifically tested and is shown to be safe with few side effects.

Where can I buy CBD?
CBD is available at a number of online and brick-and-mortar retailers. Look for proof of contents before purchasing as there are many non-tested and verified products on the market.

How do I take CBD?
CBD products are available in a variety of forms including tinctures, topicals, vape products, as CBD flower, patches, gummies, and more.

An Illuminating Interview with Andrew Myers of ProGrowTech

Do you want to be part of a private, professional community?

In this interview, Growers Network had the opportunity to speak with Andrew Myers of ProGrowTech to talk about the evolution and benefits of LED technology.

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us. Can you tell us about your background, and what brought you to the cannabis industry?

Before finding my way to the cannabis industry, I spent fourteen years in the political sphere, working for former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. During that time, I was one of the authors of the 2010 Arizona Medical Marijuana Act and served as campaign manager and chief spokesperson for Proposition 203, the successful effort to legalize medical marijuana in Arizona. I also co-founded the Arizona Medical Marijuana Association, an organization for licensed medical marijuana dispensaries, and served as Executive Director of the Arizona Dispensaries Association. I’m a big proponent of sustainable and smart development in the cannabis industry.

What is the biggest issue growers face when it comes to lighting?

Setting up a top-performing grow facility isn’t easy, but I would say the most common issue we hear about is uniformity. Either their plants aren’t getting enough light, their light is inconsistent or there’s too much intensity – and that’s not good either. I always encourage growers who are investigating lighting options to look at measurements like photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), photosynthetic photon flux (PPF) and photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD). Even though a light might look great and seem bright to the human eye, you’ll want these solid measurements to really know how effective they are.

How has LED horticulture lighting evolved since the early days?

Early LED grow lights were not as efficient and more expensive. Bulky frames took up space and produced excessive heat that damaged plants and made it tough to regulate temperature effectively. Over the years, lighting manufacturers have refined every aspect of LEDs, including diodes, fixture design and spectral controls that were unheard of in the early days. Today’s LEDs can be adjusted to suit individual growers’ needs and all kinds of facility layouts.

LEDs have emerged as a clear leader when it comes to light quality, efficiency and design. Over time, they have also become much more affordable.

What improvements can growers expect when switching to LEDs from HPS or another lighting system?

LEDs replicate sunlight more closely than other lighting options, so plants naturally respond better to them. We’ve had growers report increased yields, enhanced THC concentrations and improved crop quality when switching to our LEDs from old-school LEDs, HPS or another lighting system. Growers also see improved HVAC efficiency, since LEDs run cooler than older lighting systems.

What technology should growers look for when purchasing grow lights?

Growers should look for lights with uniform light distribution to ensure their entire canopy receives the same amount of light. The efficiency rating (noted in micromoles per joule) is also essential, especially if the facility is limited in its electricity usage.

Growers should look for lights with vertical racking capabilities to maximize space. Hands down, this is the best way to increase yields within an existing facility.

It’s also important to look at the quality of the light spectrum your light provides. ProGrowTech’s Monarch line features the full spectrum of light, with an emphasis on far-red or infrared light, which has been shown to boost vegetative growth and reduce the time a plant needs to flower.

LEDs are on the more expensive end of the lighting market. What would you tell a grower who says they’re too expensive/not worth it?

The upfront cost of LEDs may seem expensive initially, but they lead to immediate energy savings that quickly accumulate. They also last longer than HPS lights and require less maintenance, which pays off big time in the long run.

Plus, we are rolling out a leasing program that’s designed for growers who don’t want to absorb that upfront cost. They can still reap all the benefits of LEDs while better managing cash flow. Either route, it’s a sizable win-win for the long-term.

Of the horticulture lighting innovations on the horizon, what are you most excited about?

LEDs are becoming increasingly easy to use and even more efficient. Advancements like smart controls can detect certain changes and respond automatically. Some LEDs have also incorporated wireless control, meaning growers can cut down on time physically adjusting their lights. Additionally, there’s been some recent research on different materials that can make LEDs even more efficient, such as self-replicating nanoparticles.

Cannabis growers can tap into some of the industry’s latest innovations with our new Monarch line. It marries top-tier LED technology and an affordable price tag, providing exactly what growers need to produce solid harvests.

ProGrowTech's Monarch line includes a number of LED units designed for flowering, as well as LEDs for vegetative growth.

As LED technology becomes more streamlined, LED grow lights have become more affordable for both commercial growers and home hobbyists. This is especially good news for the indoor food production industry, which is poised to increase access to produce in food deserts and reduce world hunger.

With the growth of vertical racking in commercial facilities, how has the lighting market evolved?

It’s amazing to see how grow lights have evolved with the explosion of vertical racking. From a design and manufacturing perspective, it’s exciting to see all the innovation occurring in the industry to maximize space while maintaining light quality and efficiency. More lighting manufacturers, ProGrowTech included, design lights with vertical racking capabilities, allowing growers to produce more without buying another facility or paying big money to expand their space.

What kind of crops/facility types make the most sense for LED grow lights?

LEDs have taken the cannabis industry by storm. Whether you’re growing marijuana or hemp, LEDs’ full-spectrum features and vertical racking capabilities will help you perfect each strain for maximum purity and crop yield.

Numerous other crops can be grown with LEDs, such as tomatoes, peppers, microgreens, lettuce and flowers. Our Monarch line is perfect for both home hobbyists and commercial operators looking to expand cubically and grow a variety of crops.
