Maybe you’ve been on the CBD wagon for a while or maybe you’re just learning about the benefits of CBD products, but whatever your experience level, it’s important you purchase the right product. But what is the “right product?”
While part of choosing a product is assessing your particular health needs, an often overlooked – though important – factor related to the quality of the product you buy relates to testing.
It’s a fact that many of the products on the market are not quality-tested to confirm that what the manufacturer claims is in the product is actually there. Even among big-name companies this can be an issue; I’ve spoken personally to 3rd party testers whose results have shown that many times, the test results differ greatly from those advertised on the packaging, and in some cases, have even been shown to contain harmful substances such as arsenic! So what can you do to know your getting everything you pay for in a CBD product and avoiding the things you don’t?
Well, here’s some good news. I recently learned about a new CBD retailer that only sells products which they’ve rigorously tested, so if you purchase any of the following product lines, you can be confident that what’s advertised is exactly what you’ll get. The main reasons people state they use CBD is for pain, anxiety and sleep, but is there any scientific evidence? A recent article suggests that CBD can help with all of these concerns and more, but the main evidence supports CBD’s role in helping with chronic pain and inflammation, anxiety and depression, reduce nausea, act as an antioxidant and more. As with many medications, CBD will work better for some people than others, so the best way to find out if CBD can help you is to give it a try.
Take a look at the following tested brands, and if you have additional questions regarding CBD and its uses, please look at our Question and Answer section below this article.

What is CBD?
CBD stands for "Cannabidiol" and is one of the over one hundred identified cannabinoids found in hemp and cannabis plants. These cannabinoids have been found to work closely with the human endocannabinoid system to bring relief from a variety of symptoms.
Do CBD products contain THC?
By definition, hemp-derived CBD oil can contain no more than 0.3% THC. This level of THC is not psychoactive, meaning it won't get you "high" and is not typically detected in tests for THC. There are 100% THC-Free products which contain no THC.
Is CBD effective?
CBD is one of many cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. The effects of CBD have been rigorously studied and tested, and have found to be effective in many applications including stress relief, pain, sleep problems, and more.
Where can I buy CBD?
Though CBD is available from a number of retailers, you need to be careful when purchasing. We recommend using a vendor that independently tests the CBD products they sell for safety and efficacy. As far as we know, TruPotency is the only online retailer that not only tests their products, but also publishes the results to help customers choose the best product for their needs.
